St Thomas More 50th Anniversary Celebration and Mass

Thank you to all of those who were able to join us for the St Thomas More Catholic School 50th Anniversary Celebration and Mass yesterday evening. It was a fantastic event, and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces.

The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Seamus Cunningham, and he was joined around the altar by Deacon Martin Bell, Father John James and Father Adrian Tuckwell.

Our chamber choir performed perfectly, and a group of our Form Captains lead us in Prayer. Our new school Chaplain, Mr Cody Kettner, lead the congregation in the singing of hymns, supported by the new worship band.

Our Anniversary Prayer

Loving Father, we praise you on this wonderful occasion of the 50th Anniversary of St Thomas More Catholic School. We thank you for your presence here in the staff, students and all those who have made St Thomas More such a special place over the past 50 years. We pray that, moving forward, we may continue to seek your presence and build your kingdom through loving service and eager learning. May we always have thankful hearts and child-like joy that comes from knowing you.

We make this prayer with confidence and trust, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The mass was followed by a feast in our dining hall, which allowed the sharing of stories and memories from the last 50 years.

Thank you again to all those involved.
